Toys R Us recalls rattle toy over choking hazard concerns.

Toys R Us, a major toy retailer around the world, announced a toy recall for the Kids II Oball rattle toy from Kids II, Inc. The recall is being issued due to a potential choking hazard. The recall impacts 680,000 Kids II Orball rattle toys.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in its investigation it discovered that the small beads enclosed within the rattle can break. As a result, the beads can escape the cavity it is enclosed in and poses a threat to children.

In fact, according to reports, 42 people have reported that they have had the disc break. There were at least two instances reported where children had beads in their mouth. Additionally, there were at least three cases reported where children were reportedly gagging on the small beads.

The impacted products affected by this issue are the Kids II Oball Rattles 81031. According to reports, only products sold after January 1, 2016 are impacted. At least one chamber has all orange beads and one of these T codes: T0486, T1456, T2316, T2856, and T3065. For more details and information regarding this recall visit ToysRUsInc.com or kidsii.com.
