It’s a fast-paced dueling game with next to no luck. The theme is very easy for people to identify with. The best part? It’s hard to pack more game into 30 minutes than 7 Wonders Duel does.

We appreciate that the game scales to 6 or 7 people. If you have 4-6 players who are all active and creative traders and make decisions quickly, this could be the perfect game. Without this prerequisite, the game can get bogged down pretty quickly with people who take long to make decisions. When it works, this game really shines. Depending on your gaming group, this game may be worth picking up.

We like how you have to pay for cards that have most recently come out into the available pool. It’s been called a Splendor-killer. Because of all of the mechanisms found in such a tight package, it can replace a number of other games. This one is worth having just for the pure aesthetic value and the underlying mechanics.
