Sesame Street’s popular character Julia, the first to tackle Autism, is being added to Hasbro’s Playskool Friends Sesame Street plush toy collection in the US and Canada.
April is Autism Awareness Month. Hasbro is celebrating Autism Awareness Month with a new mini Julia plush toy based on the popular Sesame Street character, who was the first to boldly embrace the issue head-on.
The new adorable plush toy will be the newest family member to Hasbro’s Playskool Friends Sesame Street Mini Plush Assortment line. Julia is an amazing 4-year-old with autism from Sesame Street.
A Hasbro press statement stated: “Children and families everywhere have embraced Julia, the first Sesame Street Muppet with autism, since her onscreen debut in April 2017.”
“Now for the first time, little ones in the US and Canada can engage with this sweet character both onscreen and in the playroom with the new Julia plush character from Hasbro.”
The new Sesame Street licensed plush is geared toward kids ages one and older. Julia will be available for children in both the United States and Canada, retailing for $7.99.
