Hasbro revealed its lineup of new Nerf guns of 2021. Here’s a complete list of all the new Nerf guns available this year so far. Stay tuned for updates throughout the year!
Last year was the biggest year in Nerf history. Nerf was the number one toy property in the United States. By far, it’s Hasbro’s biggest brand. Now Hasbro is hoping to build Nerf into a billion dollar brand. Nerf is reaching more and more consumers beyond its core audience. Over the past few years, the company has reached out to thousands of kids to understand what they are looking for from Nerf.
Nerf used to be a brand that was primarily popular with 7-15 year old boys, but the company is now looking to expand beyond its core audience. With increasing competition from Zuru, Nerf added the Alpha Strike line to cater to budget-conscious consumers. For older consumers over the age of 14 looking for a more intense battling experience, Nerf created the Nerf Rival line.
What does Nerf have in store for us in 2021? Nerf is constantly listening to Nerf consumers to drive innovation. This year Nerf is adding innovation to each of its blaster lines and has even partnered with the biggest gaming phenomenon in Fortnite and Halo. Nerf is also adding the Hyper and DinoSquad lines. Here’s a complete list of the new Nerf Guns for 2021. Stay tuned for updates throughout the year!
New NERF Alpha Strike Guns of 2021
The NERF Alpha Strike line is your budget-level series for those who want the fun of Nerf without breaking the bank. It’s Nerf’s answer to fierce competition from Zuru with value-priced Nerf blasters.
A re-release of the Wolf LR-1, the Mantis LR-1 features a redesigned grip, making it more comfortable. Line up your shots with the targeting scope. Load a single dart into the open breech, pull the handle to prime, and press the trigger to fire. its scope and shoulder stock are non-removable. It comes with 5 Elite darts.
With a 4-barrel design, the Alpha Strike Claw QS-4 can shoot 4 darts in a row. Load a dart into each barrel, pull the handle to prime, and press the trigger to fire a single dart. It includes 4 Nerf Elite darts. The grip is now more comfortable than the Fang QS-4.
New NERF N-Strike Elite Guns of 2021
The Elite line is the primary entry point for most Nerf fans. It is the largest segment in the Nerf line. It comes with the classic color scheme of orange and blue, although this year there’s an exception with the new Fortnite-inspired blasters. The NERF Elite line has always been about feature-based performance – speed, distance, and capacity. This year Nerf is focusing on greater capacity at value pricing.
The NERF Halo MA40 Blaster immerses fans with the highly-anticipated Halo: Infinite. This weapon is based on the upcoming video game. It has 10 darts in a clip and it’s motorized. So you hold down the accelerator and fire away at the baddies. It’s a semi-auto blaster that fires a single dart at a time. Fans will appreciate that it’s painted on both sides. A tactical rail allows for customization. This blaster offers a satisfying kick. It makes a great addition to your Nerf collection.
Inspired by the Halo universe, the NERF Halo Bulldog SG is a spring-powered, pump-action, 10-shot blaster. It features a front- and rear-flipup sight, and tac rails for customization. Prime it, then blast away! What’s cool? This blaster features slam-fire that operates smoothly and reliably. It fires at a rate of 70 FPS. While it’s not big on performance, it’s perfect for Halo fans.
The Halo Mangler is a spring-powered top prime cylinder-fed blaster with a 6-dart capacity. The blaster is slow to load. This blaster offers slam-fire. The main fault of this blaster is its grip design — it just doesn’t feel comfortable. Second, it’s performance is merely average at best. It fires at a rate of 68 FPS. For Halo fans, this is perfect for cosplay.
Featuring the Zesty wrap aesthetic inspired by Fortnite, the SMG-Zesty is a 4-in-1 spring-powered, slam-fire 10-dart blaster. It features a removable stock, a muzzle, neither, or one or the other. It’s like a Retaliator with a Fortnite skin. Occassionally, it deprimes so you can’t fire the blaster. Its stock is a bit on the small side. For Fortnite fans, it’s a great affordably-priced blaster with a nice paint job.
Inspired by Epic Games’ Fortnite gear, the NERF Fortnite Pump SG Blaster is a spring-powered, breech-load, pump-action blaster that fires a single dart at a time. What it lacks in performance, it more than makes up for in aesthetics for Fortnite fans. Prime, load a single dart into the side door, and fire away. With this system, it’s very slow to fire. Performance is merely average. It has front and rear sights with no tactical rails. It does feature slam-fire and the stock is non-removable. It comes with 4 NERF Mega darts and fires at a rate of 74 FPS — which is in line with other MEGA blasters. If you’re looking for performance — look elsewhere, but die-hard Fortnite fans are going to want this in their collection. With the ability to dry-fire, it’s great for cosplay.
Featuring a red camo wrap, the NERF Fortnite Heavy SR Blaster is a 6-dart, bolt-action sniper rifle based on the game. It’s the longest Nerf Fortnite blaster ever! It features a removable scope. The scope actually features a crosshair. This blaster includes a bi-pod for stability. Slide the bolt to prime, and pull the trigger to fire. We love how you can customize it with all sorts of parts.
Inspired by the Six Shooter from Epic Games’ Fortnite, the NERF Fortnite 6-SH is a hammer revolver-inspired blaster featuring a 6-dart rotating drum. It comes with 6 Elite darts and a code for a Camo Pulse Wrap in the game.
The NERF Fortnite B-AR is a flywheel-powered, semi-auto, magazine-fed blaster. This blaster lacks an N-Strike barrel lug. The scope and vertical grip are non-removable. But the scope allows for several tactical attachments. Hold down the flwheel rev trigger before pulling the trigger. With its design, the B-AR is best suited for younger Nerf fans. We didn’t experience any jams with this blaster, but there’s any easy-access door. It fires at 73 FPS in line with typical blasters. While the ergonomics feel a bit wonky, it gets better with time. While not exceptional, it’s a solid blaster and perfect for Fortnite fans.
A Target-exclusive, the NERF Fortnite IR blaster is a 6-dart motorized fly-wheel powered blaster. It has a detachable barrel, an N-Strike tactical rail, and stock attachment point. Haven’t experienced any jams/malfunctions with this blaster. It’s like an oversized Stryfe or Modulus. It fires at a rate of 84 FPS, which is excellent performance. Diggin’ the unique look of this blaster. This is a great blaster for Nerf and Fortnite fans.
Inspired by the Amban Phase-Pulse blaster from The Mandalorian, the NERF Star Wars Amban Phase-Pulse Blaster is perfect for fans of the Disney+ series. This breech-load blaster looks series-accurate and features authentic details, blaster sound effects, and an electronic scope with an illuminsted lens. It comes with 10 Nerf Elite darts.
The Flipshot Flip-8 is a spring-powered, 8-shot blaster with a super cool flipping barrel system. You can front-load 4 darts, and then rotate the barrel to catch your opponent off-guard with 4 more barrels full of darts. It’s a fun gimmick that actually works quite well. It’s much faster than reloading 4 darts. This blaster doesn’t feature slam-fire. You have to prime it before shooting. It fires at a rate of 61 FPS. While it’s not battle-effective to win any wars, there’s no denying it’s satisfying to use this blaster.
The Flipshot Flip-16 is a spring-powered, 16-shot blaster with a super cool dual flipping barrel system. This blaster features 8 active barrels at once. Front-load the barrels. The mechanism rotates the barrels like the Flip-8 to access pre-loaded darts. Again, it’s gimmicky, but it works. This rotating barrel actually doesn’t feel as smooth as the Flip-8. Like the Flip-8, you have to prime before shooting. You can shoot a single dart or two darts simultanoeusly. The ergonomics don’t feel great on this blaster due to the poorly placed trigger. It’s stock is a little wobbly. The Flip-16 fires at 55 FPS, noticably slower than the Flip-8.
The NERF Elite 2.0 Flipshots Flip 32 features 32 flipping barrels and 32 Elite darts for intense battles. Pull the handles to flip the barrel and surprise your opponent. It blasts a single dart or 2 darts at a time with lever-action priming. It features easy rear-loading.
An Amazon-exclusive, the NERF Elite Disruptor is a 6-dart, rotating drum blaster. You can fire a single dart at a time, or slam-fire all 6 darts fast. Prime it and press the trigger. This blaster features slam-fire action. Not only does it look cool, but it also is lightweight and easy to carry. Choose from 2 different skins.
New NERF ROBLOX Guns of 2021
The ROBLOX line is inspired by the popular video games. They come in fun color schemes based on the games. While lacking in capacity, they’re mostly just for fun and cosplay. Each NERF ROBLOX blaster features a redeemable code for a virtual blaster to equip on their avatar in the game.
The NERF ROBLOX Jailbreak: Armory features hammer-priming action with a pair of blasters inspired by the game. Load the dart, pull down priming hammer, and press the trigger to fire away. Perfect for indoor or outdoor play, this blaster set includes 10 Elite darts. Redeem an exclusive virtual item from the game. Fans will love recreating the action of ROBLOX Jailbreak.
Sporting a cool design inspired by ROBOX MM2, the NERF ROBLOX MM2: Shark Seeker features shark fin-priming action. You literally pull back the shark fin and then push it forward to prime this blaster! It comes packed with 3 Mega darts for epic fun. The set also includes a code to redeem an exclusive virtual item in Roblox.
The NERF Roblox Arsenal: Pulse Laser Blaster is a 10-dart, semi-auto motorized blaster based on the game. It’s like a Stryfe reskin with a Roblox theme. The stock is alright but the ergonomics are bad. It fires between 25-30 feet away. This one is more for painting or modding than actual practical use. It’s mostly geared toward die-hard Roblox fans. Steer clear of it, unless you’re a big fan of the blaster’s design.
The NERF Roblox Adopt Me!: Bees! Blaster is a revolver with slingfire action. It’s not designed to be a practical blaster. It’s more for the fan. There’s no N-Strike rail, no stock attachment, no muzzle, and no pick rail. This is our favorite of the Roblox blaster thus far. We love the bee-inspired aesthetics and grip. It requires a full prime before firing.
Inspired by Roblox Strucid, the Strucid: Boom Strike is a microblaster. With a white, light blue, black, and orange design, the Strucid: Boom Strike comes with 2 Elite darts. Its size is perfect for smaller hands. There’s no additional storage for extra darts. Load a dart, pull the priming handle, and press the trigger to fire. You also get a code to redeem an exclusive virutal item in the game.
Inspired by Roblox MadCity, this Plasma Ray Blaster is a 2-dart blaster. Its compact size is perfect for mobility. Load a dart, pull the priming handle, and press the trigger to fire. With the special code, redeem an exclusive virtual item in the game. It’s a cute little blaster for fans of Roblox.
Inspired by Roblox Phantom Forces, Boxy Buster is a compact 2-dart blaster. Load a dart, prime it by pulling the handle, and press the trigger. It includes a special code that allows you to redeem an exclusive virtual item on Roblox. While it captures the look from the game, it’s a bit uncomfortable to use. Honestly, a Jolt is better. But it does pack nice power for a small blaster.
New NERF DinoSquad Guns of 2021
Dino lovers are going to love the dino-themed DinoSquad line from NERF. Let the dino wars begin!
With a cool T-Rex-inspired design, the Rex-Rampage clip-fed motorized blaster is capable of blasting 10 continuous shots. Line up your shots with the non-removable targeting scope. It comes with 20 Elite darts and offers easily accessible storage for up to 10 darts. Rev its motor and press the trigger to unleash a barrage on your rivals. It’s a fun blaster for dino lovers.
With a fun Triceratops-inspired design, the DinoSquad Tricera-Blast Blaster features break-open loading and hammer-priming action. It comes packed with 12 Elite darts as well as onboard storage for all 12 darts for easy access. Load the blaster by opening the barrel with the horn and inserting 3 darts. Close the barrel, prime, and fire! The best part? No batteries are required.
Inspired by a Stegasaurus, the Stego-Smash blaster is a cool, affordable dino-themed blaster. Don’t let its small size fool you — this packs quite a punch and shoots reasonably far! Load a dart into the blaster, prime, and fire away. The blaster comes bundled with 5 Elite darts with storage for 4 darts onboard. The best part? It’s easy for younger Nerf fans to use. Parents will love that kids can actually shoot it by themselves. Only wish it could hold more darts in the chamber.
New NERF MicroShots Guns of 2021
Jumping on the trend of super deformed minis, Nerf is expanding its MicroShots line with Fortnite and Marvel-themed miniature blasters. Nerf has shrunken some of its most iconic blasters into miniature-sized blasters. Not only are the puppy dog models adorably cute, they are completely functional single-shot blasters. They’re also designed to tilt so you can easily display them as a showpiece in your collection.
Inspired by the SPNKr blaster from the Halo video game, the Nerf Microshots Halo SPNKr is a mini blaster perfect for indoor battles. This blaster is hand-powered and shoots a single dart at a time. Load 1 dart at the front, prime by pulling down the handle, and pull the trigger to fire. This blaster includes 2 darts. It’s a great gift for HALO fans and NERF enthusiasts.
The Halo Needler is a micro-size blaster, inspired by the one featured in the Halo video games. With its compact size, it’s perfect for transporting and indoor blasting action. This hand-powered blaster fires a single dart at a time. Load one dart into the front, prime by pulling down the handle, and pull the trigger to fire. It comes with the Needler blaster and 2 darts. It’s a great addition to your NERF Halo collection.
New NERF MEGA Guns of 2021
Shooting larger darts, the MEGA line is all about over-the-top power, size, and distance.
With a 6-dart rotating XL drum, the Mega XL Boomdozer features the largest Nerf Mega Dart ever. It has a tac rail, front sight, and rear sight. It features a stock attachment point. Love the look of this blaster with the Mega XL logo breaking out. These darts whistle and it also features slam-fire.
The NERF Mega XL Big Rig is a 3-dart blaster. It has a front and rear sight. The paint is red and blue on one side and black on the other. Wish Hasbro wouldn’t skimp on the paint. It’s got storage for 2 darts. Prime it and press the trigger to shoot. It packs some good power. The darts whistle. Short-range accuracy is good, while long-range accuracy is comparable to just about any other Nerf gun.
New NERF N-Strike Modulus Guns of 2021
Kids have always wanted to customize and personalize their blasters, so Nerf created the Modulus line. The line offers fans thousands of different customizations. What’s cool? Any of the accessories will work with any of the Modulus blasters.
An Amazon-exclusive, the NERF Modulus Recon MKIII Blaster is a customizable blaster with a removable stock and barrel extension. In fact, uou can create 4 different configurations. It comes with a dart shield which serves as a defensive barrier. It’s capable of firing 12 consecutive darts and shoots up to 90-feet away.
Keep your blaster stable with the NERF Modulus Ghost Ops Stability Kit. The Stability Kit features a folding stock and flashlight foregrip. It’s a great upgrade for your Ghost Ops blaster.
New NERF Ultra Guns of 2021
The Ultra line delivers insane shooting ranges up to 120-feet. The Ultra line delivers a great mix of distance, speed, and accuracy. Step up your Nerf battles with the Ultra series blasters!
The Ultra AMP is like an Ultra Stryfe. It’s a mechanically-operated, semi-automatic blaster. It features a red-dot sight and an N-Strike tac rail for adding an additional sight. This blaster features a 6-dart capacity. However, it’s worth noting that the blaster is compatible with the Ultra Pharoah mag, which holds 10 darts. The trigger doesn’t feel as good as the Stryfe. Rev it before firing. It has an N-Strike attachment point for attaching N-Strike/Elite stocks. It fires at a rate of 100 FPS, which is comparable to blasters in this line. Just don’t expect much accuracy with this blaster.
The NERF Ultra Select Blaster a flagship full-auto blaster in the Ultra line. It comes with 2 Ultra mags. Choose between distance or accuracy with the selector. It’s the first full-auto Ultra blaster with a new Ultra dart that’s more accurate. It features a nice carry handle. We’ve experienced occassional jams. It fires at 90 FPS. While it’s pretty accurate, it doesn’t yield great ranges for a blaster of this type. While it’s not the best Ultra blaster, it has the best Ultra ammo.
The Ultra Focus, an Amazon-exclusive semi-auto flywheel blaster, is an Amp with a stock and a 10-round mag. It comes with an Ultra attachment. It’s a perfect-sized adult stock. The stock is also a storage stock for holding mags. It features a Nerf rail on the top for attachments. The Ultra AccuStrike darts give you better accuracy than the original regular darts. If you already own an Amp, this is not for you — just get the AccuStrike refill packs.
The Ultra Scream Machine is a flywheel-powered, semi-automatic Ultra blaster with a 6-dart capacity. In fact, it’s similar to an Ultra 2. It has storage for 6 darts. With an N-Strike tac rail, you can customize it with a different sight. It works most of the time with a few jams every now and then. There’s an access door for clearning any jams. The accuracy is less than desired. With the included whistling Ultra darts, it fires at a rate of 106 FPS.
New NERF Zombie Strike Blasters of 2021
What would Nerf be without stories, themes, and fantasy-based play? The NERF Zombie Strike line is inspired by zombies. We all know a zombie apocalypse will happen sooner or later. You can never be too prepared for the Zombie apocalypse, so Nerf went even bigger and over-the-top with the Zombie Strike line. The line has always featured blasters with a scrambled together look. When it’s the end of the world, you’ve got to take things from the side of the road or junkyard and put it all together. After all, it’s a matter of survival and the zombies are stronger than ever. Show ’em who’s boss!
