Recently Target unveiled its predictions for the top holiday toys of the year.
It may only be fall, but Target has already unveiled its predictions for the top holiday toys of 2018 with Bullseye’s Top Toys of 2018 List. The unboxing trend continues to be a phenomenon with L.O.L. Surprise! and Hatchimals making the list. Target’s holiday list contains something for every age range and budget, and it has categorized its top toys by the biggest toy trends of the year.
Target anticipates that tech products and classic brands will help drive its fourth quarter business. For classic brands, Mattel’s Barbie Dreamhouse, Hot Wheels Ultimate Gator Car Wash, and PAW Patrol Ultimate Fire Truck made the list. Tech toys making the list include Fingerlings HUGS and FurReal Rock-A-Too, the Show Bird.
In an effort to offer greater selection for consumers and capture more sales and marketshare, Target announced that it will expand its toy offerings both in stores and online with 2,500 new and exclusive products. Additionally, it will offer a digital version of its annual gift catalog.
Similarly, Walmart has expanded its toy inventory by 30 percent in store and 40 percent online.
