David Muir will host the annual Toy Of The Year Awards in New York City.

David Muir, the anchor of ABC World News Tonight, will host the Toy Of The Year Awards 2016. Steve Pasierb, CEO of the Toy Industry Association, is thrilled to have him at the celebration. This Emmy award winning journalist gives credibility and excitement to the event. The event will take place on February 12 at the America Museum Of Natural History in New York City.

The ceremony will honor all of the toys of the year. Additionally, Bob Iger, the CEO of the Walt Disney Company, will be inducted into the Toy Industry Hall Of Fame. The event will also highlight the work that the Toy Industry Foundation has been doing in the community.

The following day, on February 13, the 133th Annual Toy Fair will open its doors. It will begin with the ribbon cutting ceremony. Over 30,000 attendees will be on hand to explore 415,000 feet filled with the brand new toys and games.

Following last year’s record 7 percent growth, the Toy Fair hopes to continue the momentum of the that industry established last year. There are going to be over 1,200 companies showing of thousands of toys and game. The excitement has never been greater.

This year Toy Fair is opening up its doors to everyone with the introduction of Play Fair 2016. Presented by Lego and Nickelodeon, the event will take place on February 13 and February 14. There will be hands on demonstrations and tons of toys on display.

What’s going to be cool? Some of the hottest trends this year are flying drones and toys that allow kids to create things. The TIA will discuss the major toy trends on February 14. There will be additional events and panels at Toy Fair 2016.
