Laser X

Laser X will launch in June in the UK thanks to positive reviews in the US and high retailer demand.

Based on overwhelmingly positive reviews in the United States, Character Options will strategically move the release date ahead for their indoor/outdoor blaster game, Laser X, to June 2017. The move means that Laser X will launch a whole month sooner than originally intended. So fans can get their hands on them sooner rather than later.

To adequately support this earlier launch, marketing and television advertising will also be moved up to have a spectacular launch.

Laser X made an appearance at the London Toy Fair and it was a hit among attendees. Laser X is the ‘ultimate game of laser tag’ that can be played both indoors and outdoors. It is a real-life gaming experience where your entire home and backyard can be transformed into your laser arena for all-out fun. The cool thing is you can play day or night with a glowing feature that allows you to see in the dark. The blasters feature pinpoint laser accuracy from nearly 200 feet away. And the included vest automatically registers the hits.

The vest changes color when players are blasted. If a player gets hit ten times, then they are out of the game. The cool thing is that an unlimited number of players can join in on the fun. It’s great fun for the whole family or even invite your friends over for a total blast. So you can play one-on-one or take on the whole neighborhood.

Mark Hunt, a Marketing Manager at Character Options, stated that Laser X’s functionality is the primary reason for its great reception from consumers. Many consumer reviews have given it 5-stars simply because it performs exceptionally well.

A pair of Laser X laser blasters with the receiver vests runs about $49.99; individual blasters with the receiver vest run about $25. They are easy to use and loaded with awesome features that fans will love. For instance, the power indicator informs you when you need to reload the blaster while the interactive voice coach maintains your focus on the current battle.

Laser X will most likely appeal to a variety of ages. The rationale for moving the launch date earlier was tied into retailer demand as well as the positive reception in the US. Apparently, their retail partners are extremely excited about Laser X and want it get it into store as soon as possible. With a full onslaught of TV, digital campaigns, and product placement, this is sure to be the must-have toy for summer.
