Toys R Us will be the first to launch Lightseekers in retail stores.

Tomy and PlayFusion, the makers of Lightseekers, announced Toys R Us will be the first retailer to launch Lightseekers at its retail stores. Toys R Us will begin selling Lightseekers beginning on July 1. Pre-orders will begin on April 17.

Masayuki Nagatake, president and COO of Tomy stated that he is excited to partner with Toys R Us, the leading toy retailer with a track record of supporting innovative products. Toys R Us will be Tomy’s exclusive in-store retail partner for Lightseekers, according to the president of Tomy.

Tomy’s president added they worked hard to develop a category disruptor and something that will shake up the toy industry and they are excited to finally see it on store shelves this summer after it has been in development along with PlayFusion for more than 2 years.

A Toys R Us executive believes Lightseekers is a unique player in the video game category.
