Zuru wins patent infringement case against Telebrands and its subsidiary Bulbhead for infringing on US patents for Bunch O Balloons.

Zuru had previously filed a patent infringement case in the United States for the Bunch O Balloons brand against Telebrands and its subsidiary Bulbhead. Now it has been announced that Zuru won the patent infringement case and has been awarded $12.25 million for lost profits and royalty damages.

The jury delivered a verdict siding with Zuru and Tinnus Enterprises since Telebrands’ Battle Balloon line, which includes Balloon Bonanza HD and Battle Balloon Color Burst, infringed on Zuru’s United States patents.

Anna Mowbray, Zuru’s COO, said in a statement: “Zuru works diligently to bring innovation to market and to stand by its inventors. We are committed to continuously fighting knock-off companies like Telebrands who try to undercut inventors and claim innovations as their own. We are confident that the United States legal system will help us continue to send this message. Moreover, we are looking forward to an award of enhancing damages for a multiple on the $12.25 million based in the finding of Telebrands’ willful misconduct.”
