E3 is finally here! What are the 3 main events of E3 2017?

E3, the biggest annual summer gaming event, is just around the corner. Every gamer is full of excitement waiting for the biggest announcements from Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo. E3 2017 is expected to be one of the best E3s in years! E3 will run from June 10 – June 15. So what are the three main events of E3 2017?

The three main events at E3 2017 will likely be the following:

(1) Microsoft unveils Xbox Project Scorpio – Gamers are excited for the ‘world’s most powerful console’. This will be the best console to play all your favorite games from Call of Duty WWII to Destiny and more. The system will boast 6 teraflops of power, true 4K gaming, and will introduce the innovation of a generation-less future. The system is speculated to cost around $400 – $600. Final pricing as well as the final product name is expected to be released at Microsoft’s press conference on Sunday, June 11 at 2PM. Phil Spencer boasted their conference will be one of Xbox’s ‘most interesting shows in a long time’. Microsoft has a lot to prove with the Xbox and Scorpio. Will they be able to get gamers excited about Xbox and close the gap in the console wars?

(2) Nintendo premieres Super Mario Odyssey Super Mario Odyssey is the marquee holiday title for the Switch. It will be the first new Mario game for the Nintendo Switch and will release in time for the holidays. The game will return to the sandbox style gameplay reminiscent of Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy, which has fans excited. Mario will feature new moves and worlds to explore. Odyssey is expected to be the major focus for Nintendo. Expect it to get as much coverage as Zelda received at last year’s E3. Nintendo announced they will have a ‘BIG E3’ showing Mario as well as unannounced IPs. Can Nintendo keep the momentum going for the Switch? Nintendo’s presentation will be on June 13 at 9 AM PST and June 14 at 10 AM.

(3) Sony unleashes a swathe of upcoming games for the PS4 and PSVR With over 60 million PS4s sold worldwide, Sony isn’t remaining complacent. They’ve got at least 7 major exclusive AAA titles coming down the pipeline to get gamers excited and pumped. Sony won last year’s E3 with an impressive showing and it’s going to be mostly all about the games. Also, we expect a new gold PS4 to make its debut at the show. Sony’s press conference will be on Monday. June 12 at 6 PM PST.

Fans can expect E3 to be all about the games, games, and more games! E3 will feature games from all three major players.
