TOY RECALL | Waterpede Bath Toys
Munchkin has issued a recall for its Waterpede bath toys, as they pose a choking hazard to young children. The toy recall in question impacts roughly 72,000 bath toys sold at Babies R Us, Target, and other retailers nationwide. The $5 – $7 toys impacted by this recall were sold from September 2015 to January 2018.
The Munchkin Waterpede bath toys reportedly are prone to breakage and therefore may pose a potential choking hazard to young children.
The Waterpede bath toy is a single piece centipede with a variety of colors. Users scoop water through the top of the centipede and it flows out at the bottom of the toy.
According to reports, Munchkin has received a single report of the bath toy breaking apart – exposing small beads inside, which could potentially pose a choking hazard to your child. To date no injuries have been reported.

If you own the Munchkin Waterpede bath toy, discontinue use of the bath toy immediately and contact Munchkin for a replacement toy of comparable value. Consumers may contact the company toll-free at 877-242-3134 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday or online at www.munchkin.com. For your reference the recall number is 18-153.
