Hasbro launches new Black Panther gear to bring the superhero action to life.
Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, launching in theaters on February 16th, is one of the most anticipated Marvel superhero movies of all-time and even made our list of Most Anticipated Movies For Kids of 2018. Reportedly, pre-sales for the movie have been off the charts. Hasbro recently launched a new video showcasing its new Black Panther line of toys in a new advertisement ahead of the launch of the movie. Historically, movie-tie toys, like Star Wars, do very well in the toy industry so we’ll see how well these new Black Panther toys perform in the market. Strong box office sales typically are a strong indicator for strong potential sales.
The promotional video showcases three pieces of Black Panther gear to make your superhero adventures more interesting. The Vibranium Power FX Mask, Vibranium Power FX Claw, and Nerf Vibranium Strike Gauntlet were demonstrated in the video. The new line of toys are designed for kids ages 5 and older. First, the Marvel Black Panther Vibranium Power FX Role Play Mask allows kids to become the embodiment of the Black Panther. You’ll feel like you’ve been instantly and magically transported to the kingdom of Wakanda as the king ready to rightfully take your throne. The mask actually looks pretty cool and is well-designed with cool lighting effects. Too bad there are no voice-changing effects on this mask so you could have sounded like the Black Panther. You can even flip down the lens for another cool way to see the world. The Power FX Role Play Mask retails for $19.99.
Second, the Marvel Black Panther Vibranium Power FX Claw further ignites your child’s imagination by making his hand look just like that of the Black Panther. When he or she is wearing the mask, you can’t really tell you’re the Black Panther unless you’re looking at a mirror. Adding this accessory to the mask heightens the overall experience and it is something you can visually see. What’s cool is that it features motion-activated slashing sound effects and lights on the claw to bring the action to life. The Vibranium Power FX Claw retails for $19.99.
Finally, the Marvel Black Panther Nerf Vibranium Strike Gauntlet brings the action to life with a Nerf-like blaster that shoots foam darts. The Gauntlet’s design was inspired by the Black Panther movie and features projectile blasting action as well as a Black Panther influenced design. Kids will be able to tackle any and all enemies that get in the way and save the kingdom of Wakanda. The Gauntlet includes three foam darts. The Nerf Vibranium Strike Gauntlet will retail for $19.99.
Each of these Black Panther toys is sold separately and makes a fantastic gift idea for Black Panther fans. They are available online and at retail locations right now.
