Mattel creates new line based in the relaunch of Bob The Builder on PBS.
When Bob The Builder relaunched in the fall of last year, it wasn’t the Bob that fans knew. The series got a shakeup with new costumes and new characters. Further, it got a whole new look with an animated CG look instead of stop motion.
Bob himself got a major makeover. His overalls look completely different, but his signature yellow construction hat and checkered shirt are unmistakably Bob. All of the show’s main characters are still there but there are some new faces as well.
Since it debuted, the new show is resonating with kids and off to a great start with 15 million viewers and is one of the top 10 most streamed shows on the PBS kids website. Bob The Builder fans have a new reason to get excited. New toys will be launched this fall and should make excellent Christmas gifts for kids in 2021.
Mattel plans to bring out a new line inspired after the series. The new line will be shown at the New York Toy Fair 2016 and will include RC cars, construction toys, and a line of sand toys.
The Fisher Price Bob the Builder RC will retail for $49.99 and designed for preschoolers over the age of 3. It will come out in the fall.
The Mash & Mold Construction Site is perfect for little construction workers. The set includes 5 tools and 35 molds that allow kids to build and destroy their own sand creations.
There will also be a line of sand vehicles that will retail for $10.99 and include characters from the show including Scoop, Muck, and Roley.
