A new lineup of toys based on PJ Masks is coming from Just Play in 2016.
According to Animation Magazine, Just Play recently announced PJ Masks toys, playsets, and outfits at the 2016 New York Toy Fair. PJ Masks is a Disney Junior and Disney Channel cartoon series based on a book from a French author. Part of the show’s appeal revolves around characters that gain superpowers from pajamas and, more importantly, these characters serve as aspirational heroes for young kids. With the popularity of the new hit show, these toys are sure to be popular for the holidays.
The success of PJ Masks has had toy creators and licensees seeking to partner with the show. Approximately 1.5 million children watched the premiere episode. Based on that audience, it’s no surprise that we now have related merchandise based on the new show.
One of the standouts at the toy expo was the PJ Masks Headquarters. This playset features interesting interactivity in a tiered structure with a building and totems for each of the heroes of the show. This set features some cool extras, such as traps for enemies (e.g., Night Ninja) and various training zones for each of the PJ Masks heroes.
PJ Masks figures are also available and sold separately. Each has its own base or light-up form and they are compatible with the PJ Masks Headquarters. Also, some PJ Masks vehicles were on display to extend play value and the PJ Masks universe. Some of the PJ Masks figures include: PJ Masks Catboy, PJ Masks Gekko, PJ Masks Owlette, PJ Masks Romeo, PJ Mask Luna Girl, and Night Ninja.
Fans of the show can also expect other costumes and outfits to be available for their favorite PJ Masks characters. These outfits will take children’s role-play experience to the next level.
The quality of the designs stays true to the roots of the show and fans will really appreciate the attention to detail. Young kids who love the show will love the new line of PJ Masks toys from Just Play.
