New Transformers video game announced to go along with upcoming Transformers: Age Of Extinction Movie.
Hasbro and Activision officially announced Transformers: Rise Of The Dark Spark video game at Toy Fair 2014.
IGN reports that the game will take place after the previous games, War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron, and the new upcoming movie. The game will complement the upcoming Transformers: Age Of Extinction Movie, telling another story to fans.
A few details about the game have emerged at Toy Fair including the story that involves players hunting for an ancient powerful relic called the Dark Spark. The game features similar mechanics to the previous games in the series with its fast paced action packed game play. The game will feature 40 playable characters that span across both the Autobots and Decepticons. Players will be able to switch between different characters from both the Autobots and Decepticons in the single player mode.
In addition to the single player campaign, there will be a multiplayer mode including the return of Escalation mode where up to 4 players work together to survive an onslaught of enemies. The game features a leveling up aspect that stretches across both the multiplayer and single player mode.
The game is coming to the Xbox One, PS4, PC, Wii U, Xbox 360, and PS3 later this year.
