According to The NPD Group data, L.O.L. Surprise! dominated toy sales in January in the United States.
Based on The NPD Group data, MGA Entertainment’s L.O.L. Surprise! Doll Assortment was the best-selling toy of January in the United States.
In fact, L.O.L. Surprise! merchandise dominated the top four spots for last month. L.O.L. Surprise Pet Assortment, L.O.L. Surprise! Lil Sister Assortment, and L.O.L. Surprise! Big Surprise Ball rounded out the top four spots in the sales charts. Collectibles continue to be an extremely hot category with no signs of slowing down, carrying the momentum of L.O.L. Surprise! and Fingerlings forward from last year. Interestingly, the L.O.L. Surprise! Doll Assortment was also the best-selling toy of 2017.
Taking the fifth spot was Hatchimals Mini Eggs CollEGGtibles 4-Pack, a hot collectible toy from Spin Master, followed by Hot Wheels Singles 1:64-Scale Assortment, UNO Card Game Assortment, Paw Patrol Basic Vehicle and Pup Assortment, Barbie Fashionistas Glam Party Assortment, and PJ Masks Vehicle Assortment rounding out the Top 10 toys for the month of January 2018.
The NPD Group’s ‘Top 10 Selling Toys in the United States, January 2018’ list was ranked by aggregate dollar retail sales. It is worth noting only retailers participating in The NPD Group’s retail tracking system are accounted for. In fact, the NPD Group’s system comprises roughly 80 percent of the United States retail toy market.
