Girls On The Run is a youth program for girls in the 3rd through 8th grade. Girls who take part in the program learn life skills through running. The program is geared to train girls to complete a 5K race. Girls learn who they are and how they can affect the lives of others.

Both companies believe that they have goals that are very much aligned. Girls can discover their strengths and form bonds with others by building with Lego bricks.

The new activity in the curriculum is based on the Lego Serious Play Methodology. Here is how it works. First a question will be asked and the girls will have to answer the question by building an object. Then the girls will share why they built the object with others in the group. Lego believes the activity will help girls understand themselves and others.

It’s an interesting partnership and we’ll be watching how it develops.
