The Sith Nightspeeder features detachable pods with a flick missile. A total of four lightsabers are included along with three minifigs: Anakin, Asajj Ventress, and Savage Opress. A new LEGO Star Wars set for 2012 is LEGO Star Wars Geonosian Cannon 9491. Apparently, the Clone Army is planning an attack on Planet Geonosis, but to everyone’s surprise the Geonosians have been expecting them. The Geonosians have the mighty Goenosian Cannon at their disposal and are firing back with dual flick missiles. The set includes the Geonosian Cannon, a lightsaber and 3 weapons.  The Geonosian Cannon is about half a foot long and about 3-inches high. A total of four minifigs are included: Barriss Offee, Clone Commander Gree, a Geonosian warrior, and a Geonosian zombie. The Geonosian Cannon is made of over 130 pieces and it is suitable for ages 7 and over.

 

LEGO Star Wars Elite Clone Trooper & Commando Droid Battle Pack 9488

The final LEGO Star Wars Clone Wars set for 2012 is LEGO Star Wars Elite Clone Trooper & Commando Droid Battle Pack 9488. The Separatists have deployed a droid enemy to attack the Republic. But the Clone Army’s Elite Troopers have a secret weapon by their side — the Republic artillery cannon. The artillery cannon features an elevating turret and flick missile. This powerful cannon should thwart the Separatists’ attacks. A total of four minifigs are included: ARC trooper, ARF trooper and two new enemy commando droids and 5 weapons are also included. This set measures over 5-inches tall, it is comprised of 98 pieces and it is suitable for ages 6 and above.

An amazing new set for 2012 is LEGO Star Wars Jabba’s Palace 9516. Jabba’s Palace features a throne room, carbonite with Han Solo frozen inside, and a tower. The set is comprised of over 700 pieces and it is suitable for ages 9 and older. This set will include an unprecedented nine minifigures. The minifigs include Jabba, Salacious Crumb, Bib Fortuna, Gamorrean Guard, Oola, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca and a B’omarr Monk. Some of the minifigures will be exclusives. This set will be released before the end of the year.

 

LEGO Star Wars Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship 7930

One of the top new LEGO Star Wars sets for 2012 is LEGO Star Wars Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship 7930. This set has a good paint job and it has plenty of details.  The bounty hunters’ gunship features rotating engines, an opening ockpit, and laser cannons. It even has a prison cell for holding captured Jedi Knights. Four minifigs are included with this set: Sugi, Aurra Sing, Embo, and IG-86 assassin droid.  A perfect complementary set is Jedi Shuttle 7931 because you can chase it down to capture Jedi Knights with the Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship. The final model is made of 389 pieces and when built it is almost a foot long.

The last new set for 2012 that we’ll cover is the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 9509 set. LEGO Star Wars advent Calendar is a staple of the Star Wars series that we see year after year. This new set will be comprised of under 300 pieces and it will be suitable for LEGO enthusiasts ages 6 and older.
