Nickelodeon, the #1 kids’ entertainment brand, in partnership with Funrise have announced plans to launch a brand new animated series – Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty. The new property is created and produced by Funrise, a global industry leader in the design, manufacturing, marketing and distribution of toys and games worldwide. Mark your calendar: The new show premieres on Sunday, January 27th at 11:30 A.M. (PT/ET) on Nickelodeon.

Full of heart and adventure, the new animated show celebrates individuality and self-confidence. Comedic adventures, magic and mischief await fans in the whimsical world of Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty. The show centers around Felicity, the star of the show who is a fearless feline with special transformative powers who also happens to be part rainbow, part butterfly, and part unicorn. These unique characteristics allow her to perform a number of cool tricks like lasso items in the form of a rainbow, create thunderous claps with her butterfly wings, fire lasers from her unicorn horns, and blast glow sticks from her kitten paws. In tandem with her best friend Miguel, an energetic dog, she’s eager to tackle any challenges in the world of Mythlandia. In case you’re wondering, Mythlandia is inhabited by everything from fairytale creatures and wizards to giants, dragons, and more! Oh, my!

In the premiere episode, “Purrfect Party/Anubis Newbie,” Felicity is invited to a party featuring the most powerful and popular citizens of Mythlandia, but she is worried her powers won’t match up. Furthermore, an Anubis king puts Miguel to the ultimate test to determine whether he’s ready to leave Mythlandia to become the new underworld ruler.

In all there will be 26 episodes in this first series. Leading up to the series’ premiere, a full episode will be available via the Nick App and Nick On Demand starting on Friday, January 18th. More episodes will air on Nicktoons on Monday, January 28th at 9 P.M. (PT/ET). After the U.S. launch, the show will make its international debut across more than 170 countries and territories sometime later this year.
