Lamaze brand experiences phenomenal sales growth in 2016.
TOMY celebrated “phenomenal sales” for its preschool brand Lamaze. Sales grew 3% over the year and TOMY billed it as an incredible year for the brand.
The driving factors for the sales growth included a brand refresh, targeted marketing campaigns, and celebrity endorsement.
Lamaze was endorsed by Coleen Rooney, a celebrity, and had a ton of media coverage to boost its brand.
Six Lamaze characters – from Freddie the Firefly and My Friend Emily are in the Top 20 Infant Plush charts.
TOMY has plans to build on its success in 2016. Now it is seeking to gain traction as the #1 infant plush brand. In order to achieve this it plans on launching new Clip and Go characters and expand its gifting and activity categories.
The company will continue to leverage its marketing to support new launches and lead the infant toy market.
