The Prometheus is the biggest and baddest new Nerf blaster to date. Let’s start by looking at the specs. This bad boy features a hopper that houses 200 rounds of foam balls. Additionally, it blasts with an advanced acceleration system up to 8 rounds per second. It features a rechargeable battery which is great for all-day play. The velocity of all the Rival blasters is 100-feet per second.
We got a hands-on demo with the Prometheus MXVIII-20K blaster at New York Toy Fair 2018 and it was a complete beast! You use one hand to hold it by the handle while the other activates the accelerator trigger to unleash a fury of darts at your opponent. It’s a great combination of power and fun and nothing will prepare you for the power that this beast can unleash. Get ready to dominate the battlefield with the Prometheus! After testing it first-hand, we just had to honor it as one of the Best New Toys of Toy Fair 2018.
The Prometheus is part of the Rival line which is designed for ages 14 and older. Get ready to dominate your missions when it debuts on store shelves for $199.99 later this fall. Although it’s pricey, it’s totally worth every last penny. Enthusiasts will be glad to add it to their Nerf arsenal, as it’s a real blast to use in the heat of battle.
